“My daughter who is now 11 has been dancing with North Canterbury school of dance for nearly 9 years which just shows we love it!! The teachers at NCSD create a positive and supportive dancing environment for my daughter to learn in. With encouragement to learn correct techniques as well as learning to look after her body so she can dance well. There is no pressure to compete or complete exams or medal tests however now that’s she is older we enjoy working towards this goal as performing is always a highlight for her. Number one is she has so much fun across mixed age groups of children, teenagers and young adults. The teachers create a very encouraging and supportive environment within all the classes in which everyone encourages everyone. “Your wee dance school has just been the absolute best for us! Especially over the past few years when teenage emotions have been flying high. When I pick her up after class, she was always so much better for it – especially emotionally and for her mental health. My daughter has the most beautiful notes around her mirror in her room, from those beautiful senior dances who have written to her about shinning bring and just being her and not losing her spark and believe me this has been so encouraging!
