We are a happy and progressive School of Dance teaching Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop and Acro from Pre Schoolers through to Adults in North Canterbury. Established in 2012 it has been our pleasure bringing dance to the North Canterbury Community over the past 12 years.
Here at NCSD we are all about sharing our love for dance with our community and watching each and every dancer shine in their own way. We strive to give every student a positive and confidence building dance experience by providing a safe and supportive environment in which they can chase their dreams. We love that dance has such a positive impact on students, far beyond the steps themselves. It has the power to foster positive personal and interpersonal life skills including confidence, resilience, self-esteem, friendship, camaraderie, coordination, creativity, emotional and physical wellbeing. At NSCD we aim to inspire and empower our students to live their love of dance.
Whether you are looking for a fun recreational class in which your child can explore the joy of movement and dance, or you are looking for a focused and dedicated training program through which your dancer is challenged to strive high and has the opportunity to excel, we have a class and performance opportunities to suit.
We are proud to be the official location for Ready Set Dance in Rangiora, Amberley, Balcairn and Kaiapoi, bringing this internationally recognized, award winning pre school dance program to North Canterbury.
We specialize in teaching the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD) Syllabus for our Ballet, Jazz and Hip Hop exam classes and the Acro Dance Teacher Association (ADTA) Syllabus for our Acro classes.
